Is the Buzz worth a Try?

Hey hey ladies, Queen Princess here yet again with some information to try to make Kim Kardashian jealous of your curves, slim core, and banging thighs! This week I’m going after that midsection—you know, the one we might have let go after blessing the world with that third offspring, but somehow never quite got our groove back.

Now let me be straight with you—this one right here is a true challenge. Not for the faint at heart. But you already know me: I’m not gonna let that stop us! If there’s anything I preach, it’s this—find YOUR FIT. Find your level, your lane, your limit, and then grow from there. It ain’t about keeping up with anyone else, it’s about finding what works for YOU, and showing up day by day to keep getting better.

Social Media Workouts: Real or Just for Likes?

TikTok and IG have completely taken over the fitness space. You see folks doing little cutesy moves that look like workouts… but then you try them, and chileeee, you barely break a sweat. Then you’re sitting there like, “How in the world did they get that body doing THAT?” News flash—they didn’t, girl! Either they’ve been grinding behind the scenes for years and just filmed the easy part for clout, or they straight up finessing you for likes.

That’s why me and my son (my Dynamic Duo partner in crime) made it our mission to debunk these viral workouts. We try them, we rate them, and we let you know the real deal: FIT or FLOP. Is it worth adding to your journey, or just another scroll-and-skip?

And babyyyy, this week we had a spicy one!

The 300 Core Challenge

This week’s workout comes from a young trainer who’s been blowing up on social. I gotta give him his props, because unlike some, he really moves with intention. He dropped a 300 Core Challenge that went viral—1 MILLION likes. (And yes, before you ask, me and my son dropped our own 300 Core Challenge before him, and it didn’t take off like that… but that’s another story. Hmm. 👀)

So of course, we had to test it.

The task: 300 ab reps. However long it takes you, just do it. He says 6 minutes, but baby let me tell you, 6 minutes is a pipe dream unless you’re a machine.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • 50 Crunches
  • 50 Russian Twists
  • 40 Leg Raises
  • 40 Flutter Kicks
  • 40 Plank Shoulder Taps
  • 40 Toe Touches
  • 30 Bicycle Crunches
  • 10 Sit-Ups

Whew! Yes girl, that’s a LOT. But you know your girl Princess wasn’t backing down.

Fit or Flop? My Verdict

FIT OR FLOP

So here’s the tea: I didn’t hit that 6-minute mark. But you know what? Who cares?! The point isn’t being perfect—the point is showing up. And I was right outside of 6 minutes. My abs? ON. FIRE. 🔥 Like couldn’t-laugh-without-feeling-it sore. That’s how you know it worked.

So for me, this one is a FIT. Full stop. It’s intense, but it’s also flexible.

Here’s how you can make it your own:

  • Take the time pressure off. If it takes you 10 minutes, 20 minutes, even a few days to complete all 300—girl, it STILL counts. Break it down. 50 a day until you finish, and then keep improving that time week by week.
  • Or lower the rep count. 200, 150, even 100—whatever makes sense for your body right now.

Like I always say: FIND YOUR FIT. Not somebody else’s. Yours.

Princess’ Amazon Picks for Killer Abs

Now, I can’t just leave you hanging. If you’re about to dive into this core madness, let me hook you up with some tools to make it even better (and yes, you can find all of these on Amazon):

  1. Ab Roller Wheel – Simple, cheap, but evil in the best way. Roll it out, and it will light your core up like fireworks. Perfect add-on to this challenge.

  1. Resistance Bands (Mini Loop Set) – Add them around your ankles during flutter kicks or leg raises, and you’ll feel that deep burn in your lower abs and thighs. Double duty, baby.
  1. Weighted Medicine Ball – Russian Twists with a medicine ball? Whew. Now THAT’S a challenge. You’ll be snatched in no time.
