Hey hey, my beautiful sisters! It’s your Fit Mom, Princess Hicks — one half of the dynamic mother-son duo behind iLivFIT — and today, I’m bringing you something that still has my spirit humming. You know those moments when fitness meets faith, when your body moves but your soul catches up? That’s exactly what happened this weekend at the Yoga Flow in Faith event right here in Mansfield, Texas.
We’ve been to a lot of gyms, events, and fitness experiences all across the country — from high-energy boot camps to mind-blowing HIIT sessions — but this one? This one touched a different part of the journey. It wasn’t about the sweat or the reps. It was about the stillness, the healing, the sisterhood. It was about reconnecting your body and spirit — because real health, true fitness, comes from within.
Where Faith Meets Fitness

The Yoga Flow in Faith: A Sisterhood Praying Circle Healing Yoga Event was held at Motivational Dance Studio in Mansfield, Texas. From the moment you walked in, you could feel the calm settle over you — like the universe took a deep breath right along with you. Mats were rolled out neatly, candles flickered at the corners of the room, and women from all walks of life came together with open hearts and quiet minds. It wasn’t just a yoga class. It was an experience — a sacred space where breath, movement, and purpose aligned.
The mission was simple but powerful: Renew. Restore. Rejuvenate. Reconstruct.

Those four words became our rhythm for the afternoon. Every stretch was a renewal. Every exhale, a restoration. Every prayer whispered between poses, a reconstruction of the soul.
Meet the Women Who Led the Way

The event was led by Yoga Instructor Nastasha Brown, a radiant spirit whose calm presence could melt away tension before you even stepped onto your mat. Nastasha doesn’t just teach yoga — she embodies it. Her voice guided us through each pose like a warm embrace, reminding us to honor our bodies and move with intention.
And of course, this beautiful day was covered in love and prayer by Rilishia Bowles, our host and spiritual sister. Her words before class reminded us that healing isn’t linear, and faith isn’t a one-time act — it’s a practice. Her prayer set the tone: one of gratitude, openness, and release.
Together, these two women built a space that reflected everything iLivFIT stands for — community, empowerment, and the deep belief that true fitness starts from the inside out.
The Space That Held Our Hearts
Let me tell you, Motivational (M8) Dance Studio was the perfect home for this experience. Nestled right in the heart of Mansfield, this studio is built for transformation — physically and emotionally. It’s open and airy, with dimmable lighting that shifts the energy from vibrant to intimate in seconds. For this event, the lights were low, the music was soft, and the air felt full of hope.

The room was big enough for everyone to have their own sacred space, but somehow, it still felt intimate — like a big family room for the soul. When we flowed through the poses, it wasn’t just about flexibility; it was about letting go of the weight we’ve been carrying. The energy was magnetic. You could feel it in your chest, in your breath, in your bones.
By the time we circled up for the closing prayer, there wasn’t a single person untouched by the moment. Tears fell freely — not from sadness, but from release. You could feel hearts being put back together, piece by piece.
The Power of Safe Spaces

When women gather with the intention of healing, something divine happens. That’s not just spiritual talk — that’s real. It’s biology, it’s community, it’s energy. We thrive when we feel seen, heard, and held.
Yoga Flow in Faith was exactly that. It gave us permission to exhale. To release the guilt, the weight, the pressure to be perfect. It gave us a reminder that stillness can be just as powerful as motion. That strength isn’t always about how much you can lift — sometimes it’s about how much you can let go.
Every mat became an altar. Every stretch became a prayer. Every breath became an act of self-love.
This wasn’t a typical yoga session. This was an awakening — one that reminded us that fitness doesn’t just sculpt the body, it strengthens the spirit.
The Flow That Freed Us
We started with gentle breathing — inhaling peace, exhaling doubt. As the music played softly in the background, Nastasha led us through a flow that was simple yet powerful. We moved from pose to pose, guided not by pace but by purpose.
Downward dog became a symbol of grounding. Warrior pose felt like reclaiming our power. And when we laid in stillness at the end — eyes closed, palms open — it felt like a divine hug from within.
You could almost hear the collective heartbeat of the room syncing together. Different women, different backgrounds, but one shared rhythm of renewal. It’s moments like these that remind me why we started iLivFIT in the first place — to bring people together through movement and meaning.
A Fit Challenge with a Twist

You know I can’t leave y’all without a weekly Fit Challenge! But this time, we’re switching gears. No dumbbells, no sprints — just you, your breath, and your presence.
This week, I’m challenging you to slow down and turn inward. Take 5, 10, or 15 minutes each day to center yourself. That’s it. You can do this anywhere — in your living room, your office, even sitting in your car before picking up the kids. Get quiet. Breathe. Let your mind settle.
Then, let your body move — not in performance, but in peace. Stretch your arms overhead. Roll your shoulders. Open your hips. Breathe into the tight spots and thank your body for carrying you through everything.
Don’t forget to end your moment with gratitude. Speak a prayer or affirmation out loud: Thank you for this body. Thank you for this breath. Thank you for this strength. Sometimes, healing starts with just saying thank you.
Why This Matters
So often, we focus on what fitness looks like on the outside — the toned arms, the flat abs, the tight legs. But real wellness lives deeper. It’s emotional strength. It’s peace of mind. It’s being able to handle the chaos of life without losing your center.
That’s what events like Yoga Flow in Faith do — they remind us that you can’t pour from an empty cup. You have to take time to refill, to reset, to breathe. And the more you do, the better you show up for yourself, your family, your work, your dreams.
I tell women all the time — your workout is your worship. When you move, you’re honoring your body. When you stretch, you’re opening up new space for blessings to flow in. It’s all connected.

A Personal Word to My Sisters
Ladies, I know life gets busy. Between the kids, work, home, and everything else, we often forget to prioritize ourselves. But I want you to hear this from me — you are worth the time it takes to care for you. You can’t give the world your best if you’re running on empty.
Start small. Stretch in the morning. Breathe during lunch. Pray before bed. And remember — you don’t need to move mountains in a day. You just need to move one step closer to peace.
That’s what Yoga Flow in Faith reminded me of. It’s not always about pushing harder. Sometimes, it’s about softening. Allowing. Receiving. That’s where the real strength is.
Your Turn to Flow in Faith
So, here’s your invitation. This week, carve out space to reconnect — with your breath, your body, your purpose. Flow in your own faith. Believe that healing is happening, even in the quiet moments. Trust that you are exactly where you need to be.

Because at iLivFIT, this isn’t just about workouts — it’s about a lifestyle of living fit in every sense of the word. Physically. Mentally. Spiritually.
